To us you're not a patient, but rather a practice member. A patient is defined as one who suffers. Although you may enter our practie at a point where y ou are in pani and sufferenig, our purpose is to educate, inspire and enable you to achieve optimal performance. When you become a member of our practce you join a team of like-minded individuals and families who want more out of life and refuse to accept status-quo.
Next, you will have a consultation with Drs. Maxwell or Brown to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential care options. This initial visit is desigend for the doctors to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how our office can best serve you and help you meet your goals.
After your consultation, the doctors will perform a complete chiropractic examination, involving postural checks, range of motion analysis and other orthopedic and neurological tests. However, rest assured that we will explain every step of our process and get your consent first.
Depending on your specific condition, we may take state of the art digital X-rays as well. X-rays help us develop the most effective care plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, Dr. Maxwell or Dr. Brown will give you a report of findings and answer any questions including:
- What's the problem? Do you have vertebral subluxation?
- What nerves are being affected by the subluxations?
- Is it affecting organ function? If so, which ones?
- If there are no indicators preventing so, you will be given your first adjustment
This is the most important visit you will have in our office and your chiropractic journey. You and your spouse will attend case review. You will get your second chiropractic adjustment with your spouse present so they can understand what happens and why when you come to our office. You will then be presented with normal findings so you can compare your findings to normal. This will take place in our reception area. You will then be escorted to a private room for you and your spouse to review your specific findings on x-ray and the results of the nerve studies. You will have all your questions answered at this time including time and financial commitments.
At the conclusion of the Report of Findings or case review visit, you can choose to experience your chiropractic journey and begin the road to a better life! We primarily utilize the Torque Release Technique (TRT) protocol. We are the only chiropractic office in the Abingdon area that is certified to utilize TRT! TRT will allow you to experience great results without painful or evasive procedures. Contact us if you have a particular questions or prefer a particular chiropractic technique.
